How PolyAlpha works
Everything you need to use the signal bot and trade bot — what each feature does, how alerts arrive, and what every button in Telegram means.
What is PolyAlpha?
PolyAlpha is a Telegram service for Polymarket traders. It watches markets, news, top traders, and unusual wallet activity, then sends you clear trade ideas with links, odds, and context.
You stay in control. Use signals only, or open the trade bot to paste any Polymarket link and trade manually — autotrade is optional. You can ✨ create a new wallet inside the bot (no private key in chat) or 🔗 connect an existing Polymarket account.
Our Telegram bots
PolyAlpha uses separate bots so alerts stay fast and trading stays organized.

Autotrade, Autobuy & Follow sells
Three related switches control how PolyAlpha signal alerts (whale, insider, news, arbitrage) interact with your wallet. Copy trade wallets use their own settings and are not affected by these toggles.
How the switches work together
| Autotrade (home) | Autobuy signals | What you get |
|---|---|---|
| 🔴 Off | Off (forced) | No signal trade alerts and no automatic follow-sells. You can still trade manually by pasting links or using the portfolio. |
| 🟢 On | Off | Manual alerts for matching buys — each message includes Buy and Skip. You decide trade by trade. |
| 🟢 On | On | The bot places buy orders automatically when a signal matches your enabled engines and sizes. |
Follow wallet sells
When this is on, the bot can automatically sell your position if a whale or insider wallet you followed into a trade sells theirs. You must turn on Autotrade first — if Autotrade is off, Follow sells cannot be enabled and sell signals are ignored silently.
Turning Autotrade off
Switching Autotrade to 🔴 also turns off Autobuy and Follow sells. To use those options again, turn Autotrade back on first.
Manual mode tips
- Manual alerts are for buy signals only — sell-side follow logic does not send Buy/Skip prompts.
- Tap Buy on the alert to place one order at your configured engine size, or Skip to ignore that idea.
- You can change which signal types appear under ⚙️ Settings → 🎯 Signal engines.
Copy trade — follow any wallet
Copy trade lets you track wallets you pick — friends, influencers, or your own second account — independently from PolyAlpha’s curated whale and insider signal lists.
Copy trade vs signal alerts
Whale and insider signals are researched and filtered by PolyAlpha, then delivered to Premium subscribers. Copy trade is your personal watchlist: you add addresses in the trade bot, set rules per wallet, and choose how you want to be notified or copied when that wallet trades. Home-screen Autotrade does not control copy trade — each copied wallet has its own switches.
How to set it up
- Open @PolyAlpha_trade_bot You need Signals + Trade access and a connected or created wallet.
- 👤 Copy trade wallets (home screen) Tap the button on the trade bot main menu — opens your copy-trade list and wallet limit.
- ➕ Add wallet Choose a short label (e.g. “My whale”), then paste the Polymarket wallet address (0x…).
- 🌐 Global settings (optional) Set defaults for all wallets — the four switches, buy size, slippage, and min position. New wallets inherit these values.
- Tap a wallet Fine-tune that wallet only. A ✎ mark means it differs from your global defaults.
Wallet limits: up to 5 copied wallets on a signals-only plan, or 50 with Premium + Trade. Remove old wallets to add new ones if you hit the cap.
In your wallet list, 🟢 means Autobuy is on for that wallet. ⚪ means Autobuy is off (you can still get buy alerts if those are on).
The four switches
Each copied wallet has four independent switches — two for buys, two for sells. Mix them however you like.
When on, the bot buys automatically when this wallet opens or adds to a position (using that wallet’s buy size and slippage). When off, the bot never auto-buys for this wallet — you decide from alerts only.
When on, you get a Telegram message before a buy with market details and Buy / Skip buttons (plus a custom amount option). When off, buy activity from this wallet is silent unless Autobuy is on.
When on, the bot sells your matching position when this wallet sells. When off, your positions stay open unless you sell manually or tap Sell on an alert.
When on, you get a message when this wallet sells, with Sell / Skip to close your side manually. When off, sell activity is silent unless Autosell is on.
How buys and sells combine
Quick guide — same idea for both sides:
- Alerts on, auto off — you get a message with action buttons; nothing happens until you tap.
- Auto on, alerts off — the bot acts quietly with no pre-trade message.
- Both on — you get the alert with buttons and the bot acts automatically. After a buy fills, a separate confirmation arrives.
- Both off — that side is fully silent for this wallet.
Size & filter settings
How many USDC the bot spends per copy buy for this wallet (default $25). Not linked to signal engine sizes.
How much price movement you accept on copy orders for this wallet. Separate from your signal autotrade slippage.
Filters buy alerts by how large the wallet’s total position is on a market (steps at $1k, $2k, …). Sell alerts only fire when a single sell fill is at least this size. Autosell ignores this filter. Set 0 to alert on every buy and sell alert.
Stops tracking that address. Confirm with ✅ Yes, remove. Your open positions are not closed automatically.
🌐 Global settings
From the copy-trade menu, open 🌐 Global settings to set defaults for every wallet at once — all four switches, buy size, slippage, and min position. Changing a global value updates all your copied wallets. To keep one wallet different, set global first, then edit only that wallet.
What copy alerts look like
- Header shows 👤 Copy trade · your label so you know it is not a PolyAlpha whale signal.
- Includes market name, side (YES/NO), this fill size, and their running total on the position.
- When min position steps apply, you see which step was crossed (e.g. step #2 at $2,000 total).
- Manual alerts include Buy / Skip or Sell / Skip, plus a custom amount button.
- When Autobuy is on and a buy fills, you get a separate confirmation message after the order — in addition to any pre-trade alert.
Create a Polymarket wallet in the bot
New in the trade bot: you can start trading without MetaMask or exporting keys from Polymarket. The bot creates a dedicated Polymarket deposit wallet for you, encrypts the key on the server, and never shows the private key in Telegram chat.
Create vs connect — which to pick?
| Feature | ✨ Create wallet | 🔗 Connect wallet |
|---|---|---|
| Setup | One tap in the bot | Funder address + signature type + private key |
| Private key in chat | Never shown | You paste it once in @PolyAlpha_trade_bot |

| Withdraw in bot | Yes — 💸 Withdraw USDC | No — use Polymarket or your wallet app |
| Disconnect | Permanent — use Withdraw first | Can reconnect later |

Not just autotrade — full trading bot
The trade bot is a complete Polymarket interface inside Telegram. Paste any event link to buy YES or NO, manage open positions, set stop loss and take profit, and view live stats — with or without autotrade.
- Send a Polymarket URL → pick outcome → enter USDC size
- 📊 Portfolio — open/closed positions, live stats, bot order history
- 🟢 Autotrade optional — copy signals when you want hands-off trading
- Opposite-side signals ask you first: close & flip, hold both, close only, or skip
Safety: Bot-created wallets store an encrypted private key on the server. Only deposit what you can afford to lose. Disconnecting a bot-created wallet is permanent — you cannot reconnect the same wallet yourself; withdraw first or use polymarket.com.
Portfolio & positions
From 📊 Portfolio on the trade bot:
Live trades the bot is tracking.
Resolved or sold positions.
Your account performance summary.
History of orders the bot placed.
Markets that have resolved and still owe you winnings — ready to claim back to cash.
Redeeming settled positions
After a market resolves, winning shares must be redeemed before USDC appears in your spendable cash balance. Open positions shows only live tradable markets; redeemable ones live in their own menu so the list stays accurate.
Claims every pending redeemable position on your wallet, one after another, in the background. You can keep using the bot while it runs — you will get a message when finished (success, partial, or error).
- 🏁 Redeemable lists only positions that still need claiming — already-redeemed markets are filtered out.
- Redeem all works for wallets created inside the bot (✨ Create wallet). If you connected an imported wallet, redeem on polymarket.com instead.
- If some positions fail, the summary tells you how many succeeded — try again or finish the rest on Polymarket.
Redeem does not charge gas from your wallet — it uses PolyAlpha’s gasless path for bot-created deposit wallets.
Inside an open position
Sell your full position.
Add size to the same outcome manually.
Automatic sell if the market moves against you.
Automatic sell at your target profit.
Update current price and P/L.
